Job Title: Lecturer in Animal Studies

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Animal Studies to join our team at Protocol National Limited. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students on a range of Animal Studies courses from Level 1 to 4 (HND) and possibly other related programmes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach and assess students on Animal Studies courses, ensuring high-quality provision and responding to learners' needs.
  • Be responsible for an agreed teaching programme in Animal Studies and other related areas, working collaboratively with managers and colleagues.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and record learners' progress for identified modules.
  • Develop course materials, schemes of work, and group profiles, making them available through the College's shared information systems.
  • Deliver academic tutorials to provide students with feedback on progress and formative guidance on how to improve performance.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed and assist in maintaining high standards of Health and Safety throughout the department and College.
  • Contribute to the co-ordination, development, promotion, and delivery of the range of courses offered by the College, as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in teaching at PTLLS and animal management at level 4 or above are desirable but not essential.
  • Minimum level qualification to teach subject – level 3 or 4, HND, degree, or professional industry qualifications.
  • Minimum of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
