About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Media Lecturer to join our team at Protocol National Limited. As a Media Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across a range of media subjects, including digital media production, film studies, photography, and multimedia projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching & Learning: Develop and deliver engaging and up-to-date course content that meets industry standards and prepares students for higher education and employment.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the planning and development of curriculum that aligns with industry trends and standards.
  • Assessment: Monitor, assess, and provide constructive feedback to students, ensuring they meet their learning objectives and achieve their potential.
  • Student Support: Offer academic and pastoral support to students, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in their studies.
  • Industry Engagement: Maintain and develop strong links with the media industry to enhance student learning experiences and ensure curriculum relevance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the department and across the college to ensure the delivery of a coherent and coordinated learning experience.
Essential Requirements
  • A degree in Media, Film, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Experience teaching media subjects at FE/HE level.
  • Strong knowledge of current media trends and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Desirable
  • Experience in the media industry.
