About the Role
The Fostering Team at Achieving for Children is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Team Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a reduced caseload of supervising foster carers and/or assessments, supervising approximately three full-time social workers, and representing the fostering service in meetings across the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a reduced caseload of supervising foster carers and/or assessments
- Supervise approximately three full-time social workers
- Represent the fostering service in meetings across the agency
- Support peer supervision and foster carer support groups
About You
- Hold a degree-level qualification in Social Work or a related field
- Be registered with Social Work England and have a proven track record of Continuing Professional Development
- Have previous experience of supervising social workers in the context of children's social care/fostering
- Have in-depth knowledge of the Children Acts (1989, 2004), Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards
- Be able to maintain records, produce accurate reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
