Telent Technology Services Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Field Network Engineer Apprentice. As a Field Network Engineer Apprentice, you will be responsible for working on the full Strategic Road network, ensuring the UK's highways run smoothly. You will have the opportunity to work on end devices such as CCTV, Message signs, Journey time management, Roadside Telephones, and learn how to maintain roadside cabinets, cable and termination, testing equipment on fibre and copper cable networks on the National Roads Telecommunications Service networks. You will also learn how to work with Optical Fibre, including cable preparation, splicing, OTDR testing, and how to interpret the results. Additionally, you will understand and learn about IP routers and networks, and support and learn how to test, repair, replace and re-configure the latest Telecoms equipment. The role involves travelling regionally and you will be expected to stay away from home on regular occasions. This apprenticeship is typically 24 months in duration and upon completion, we hope to offer you a full-time position with Telent where you can continue to pursue your career. You will gain a Level 4 Network Engineer qualification and have the opportunity to work with a leading technology company that specializes in the design, build, support and maintenance of the UK's critical digital infrastructure.
