About the Project

We are excited to announce a new 140-unit development featuring a mix of timber frame and traditionally built homes and apartments in Dorset. This exciting project combines modern timber frame construction for the houses and traditional built low rise apartments, offering a unique and challenging opportunity for a skilled and driven professional.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to assist on this project. As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site, adhering to programme deadlines, health and safety regulations, and our high quality standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management of subcontractors and ensuring their compliance with site rules and regulations.
  • Assisting in the daily supervision of site operatives, ensuring productivity and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintaining accurate records of materials, labour, and plant usage.
  • Ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Assisting with the implementation and enforcement of health and safety regulations on site, promoting a safe working environment for all.
  • Assisting in quality control inspections and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the project through proactive problem-solving and efficient resource management.
  • Liaising effectively with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager, and other members of the project team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or similar role within the residential construction industry.
  • A relevant qualification in construction management (e.g., NVQ Level 5/6, HNC/HND) is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and construction best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Experience with 100+ unit developments is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a competitive bonus scheme, company car, and opportunities for career progression within the group.
