NHS Lothian is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and we are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the continued care of patients in their charge and for the proper functioning of the department. This is a full-time post created through retirement, available from September 2024 and based at St Johns Hospital.

The Consultant will have a significant impact on the department's performance and contribute to the development of sub-speciality interests in Intensive Care. With 10.0 Programmed Activities (PA), including 9 PA of Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1 SPA (Supporting Professional Activity), this role offers opportunities for professional growth and development.

In terms of remuneration, the estimated annual salary for this position is around £120,000-£150,000, depending on experience. The post also includes a competitive benefits package, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
