Job Summary:

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to join their dynamic team. As a visionary leader, you will be responsible for driving productivity, quality, safety, and innovation in the engineering department.

About the Role:

As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading Engineering Excellence: Spearhead the optimization of all engineering operations to achieve world-class standards in productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
  • Driving Innovation and Transformation: Combine technology and people processes to enhance efficiency and adaptability.
  • Building and Developing a High-Performing Team: Role model the company values, actively coaching and developing your team through robust management practices.
  • Ensuring Compliance and Standards: Oversee health, safety, environment, quality, and reliability standards, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Asset Quality and Reliability: Lead the Progressive Maintenance (PM) pillar, ensuring the continuous improvement of the factory's assets.
  • Strategic Engineering Leadership: Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the brewery and broader business goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Science or Engineering; Chartered Engineer status is required.
  • Experience: Senior leadership experience within a Head of Engineering role, with strong exposure to food/beverage manufacturing.
  • Skills: Proven track record in building and leading high-performing teams, expertise in coaching across all levels using the learn-do-teach principle, and extensive experience in implementing World Class Supply Chain processes in fast-moving consumer goods or chemical environments.
