Learning Disability Care Worker

Empowering Learning seeks a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Wigan-based team. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse learning disabilities, including Autism (ASD) and other complex needs.
Job DescriptionThis role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, has experience in special needs support, and is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. You will work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to create a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional learning, academic achievement, and overall well-being.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
- Assisting teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Monitoring and reporting pupil progress to parents/guardians and other stakeholders.
- Participating in school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and social-emotional learning.

Salary and Benefits- A competitive annual salary ranging from £18,000 to £22,000, depending on your experience.

Our offices are located in Wigan, offering easy access to surrounding schools and communities. This full-time position requires a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
