Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, developing care plans, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and dedicated medical professional to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
  • Provide counseling and health education
  • Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
  • Collect data for audit purposes
  • Ensure and undertake the annual mandatory training relevant to the job role
  • Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
  • Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  • Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  • General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained
  • On a medical performers list
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • UK driving license
  • Current CPR certificate
  • UK work permit (if required)
  • Medical defence union cover
  • Chronic disease management
  • Primary prevention & screening services
  • Clinical Governance
  • Delivery of QoF targets
  • Self-audit and reflection
  • Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork
  • Time management being able to prioritise work and work under pressure
  • Computer literacy
