Job Summary:

Venn Group is seeking an experienced Licensing Officer to join our team on an interim basis for the next 6-9 months. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing licensing conditions, investigating unauthorized activities, and administering processes related to licensing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Licensing Officer to ensure the effective enforcement of licensing conditions and the investigation of unauthorised activities.
  • Monitor, inspect, and enforce relevant statutory requirements under the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and 1982, Animal Welfare (Licensing of Animals) Regulations 2018, and other relevant legislation.
  • Assist the Senior Licensing Officer in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to licensing.
  • Resolve or escalate licensing complaints as necessary.
  • Provide expertise and assistance to the Council, local businesses, and members of the public on relevant legislation and guidance documents.

Requirements:

  • Experience in licensing enforcement and administration.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance.
