Job Title: Data Governance and Security Software Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Data Governance & Privacy team at Trustpilot, Inc. in London.

This role involves working closely with engineers, analysts, and legal stakeholders to build and maintain systems that ensure data compliance, security, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support data cataloguing and labelling efforts.
  • Apply solid software engineering principles to build reliable systems that meet data governance needs and uphold data quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to automate data processes, including tagging, classification, and retention policies.
  • Work closely with Legal, Security, and Product teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, enhancing data management efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development to stay up-to-date on data governance trends and tools.
  • Help cultivate a culture of data ownership and responsibility throughout the organization.
Requirements:
  • A solid background in software engineering, with proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
  • Prior experience in data governance is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with data processing tools.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to devise creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • A proactive mindset, with a desire to learn and grow in data governance and privacy practices.
