About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our team at GSL Education in Poole. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, creating tailored lessons that cater to their unique learning styles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to meet the diverse needs of students with moderate, severe, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and tools to match each student's learning style and needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as needed to help students reach their academic and personal goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to share updates on student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience working with students with SEN preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude towards working with students with diverse needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
