Money Laundering Compliance Specialist

Role Overview:
As a Money Laundering Compliance Specialist, you will join our Charles Street division, which successfully supports professional property developers and investors in accessing bespoke funds for key projects, including Bridging finance, Buy-to-let, and Development exits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company adheres to Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines by overseeing and managing anti-money laundering (AML) compliance activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's financial crime policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of financial crime frameworks, including risk-based due diligence, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
- Manage enhanced due diligence activities for high-risk customers.
- Act as the firm's nominated officer for investigating and disclosing suspicious activity to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
- Prepare and present key financial crime updates within internal governance structures.
Requirements:
We're seeking an experienced professional with:
Extensive experience in AML compliance, preferably within the financial services sector.A strong understanding of financial crime risk identification, assessment, quantification, mitigation, and monitoring methods.Technical knowledge of potential risks associated with lending products, schemes, delivery channels, and services.Highly developed analytical skills for creating and communicating reports to stakeholders.Understanding of systems for screening, fraud monitoring, customer risk modeling, and transaction monitoring.Benefits:
