Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Sheffield. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced electrical solutions for robotic and electromechanical systems used in factory and process automation.

The Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing EPLAN or similar electrical design software to create electrical solutions.
  • Developing detailed 2D electrical panel layouts and electrical schematics.
  • Occasionally engaging in hands-on activities, such as fault-finding and problem-solving in the workshop.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, as well as maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

The position involves travel to client sites across the UK, particularly in the defense and aerospace sectors, so candidates must be UK citizens.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with:

  • A degree, HND, or HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Previous experience in an electrical design role, with a strong ability to create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, capable of working independently to meet project milestones.
  • A keen interest in learning new technologies and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A valid UK driving license.
