Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and promoting their social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer 1:1 support to students with SEND
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons, created by senior leadership, to cater to individual student needs
  • Bring a patient and caring attitude to the environment
  • Monitor students during break times
Requirements:
  • Skills to work effectively with individual students
  • Able to promote social and emotional development
  • Able to respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviors
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience working with young people with SEND and disability
  • Good working knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety
  • Experience or knowledge of National Curriculum subjects
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to gain one (training available)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
