Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a therapeutic approach.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in working with students with special educational needs and will be able to promote their social and emotional development. You will work closely with our team to provide individualized support to students, helping them to enjoy learning again.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work effectively with individual students to promote their social and emotional development
  • Respond calmly and effectively to display behaviors
  • Support students with Education Health and Care Plans
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with young people with special educational needs and disability
  • Good working knowledge of Safeguarding and Health and Safety
  • Experience or Knowledge of National Curriculum subjects
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to gain one (training available)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
