The Opportunity:
We are seeking an exceptional Associate Director or Technical Director specializing in Civil Engineering to lead our Edinburgh or Glasgow office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the existing Civil Engineering team, driving business development, and fostering organic growth.
Job Description:
- Team Management: Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Civil Engineering Team, ensuring efficient coordination of workloads, effective budget management, and providing guidance to team members;
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for business growth, identifying opportunities within and outside the company;
- Client Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded;
- Project Management: Lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering Expertise: Possess a degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrate technical proficiency, particularly in areas like highway design, drainage, and flood risk assessments;
- Business Acumen: Showcase a proven track record in business development, client relationship building, and project management;
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate experience in mentoring, coaching, and guiding teams towards achieving strategic objectives;
- Professional Certifications: Hold relevant professional certifications, such as membership in professional bodies related to civil engineering;
Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits package;
