Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled dental nursing specialist to join our team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality dental care and oral health advice to patients, including paediatric and special care patients.

To be successful in this position, applicants must hold the National Certificate in Dental Nursing, NEBDN or equivalent qualification and be fully registered with the GDC. Our ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of dental and medical emergencies, manual dexterity skills, and proficiency in computer-based systems for dental practice administration.

Person Specification
  • National Certificate NEBDN or equivalent education, e.g. NVQ Level III Oral Healthcare.
  • Current GDC Registration or currently enrolled on a training course.
  • First Aid/Basic life support training.
  • Extended duties in dental nursing: NEBND certificate in Sedation Nursing, Oral Health Promotion, and Radiology.
  • Knowledge of the Specialist and Special Care Dental Service Pathway and Criteria.
  • Understanding of dental and medical emergencies.
  • Manual Dexterity skill.
Requirements
  • Flexible and adaptable ability to travel around Cumbria sites.
Salary and Benefits

£26,530 - £29,114 per annum pro rata. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
