About the Role

The Deputy Cleaning Operations Manager will be responsible for assisting the Cleaning Operations Manager in overseeing the cleaning operation of St James Quarter, ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all visitors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the cleaning team to achieve high-quality service delivery and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Ensure advanced planning of cleaning operations, including periodic tasks, with clear schedules and sign-off of all duties and tasks.
  • Manage day-to-day cleaning schedules, supporting the operational team to ensure delivery.
  • Focus on training and development of the team to establish good working practices and create meaningful positive customer experience interactions.
  • Hold regular team meetings with the supervision team to ensure a one-team approach.
  • Manage the recruitment process.
  • Ensure excellence in cleaning operations throughout St James Quarter, including security, health, and safety, and compliance.
Key Skills and Requirements
  • Preferred experience in similar roles within the retail, hotel, or tourism and travel industries.
  • Able to manage a cleaning operation and experience in similar operations.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously, with high energy and calm under pressure.
  • Experience in managing and leading a large cleaning team, with a focus on ensuring high morale at all times.
  • Good attention to detail within the cleaning industry.
