Residential Child Care Support Worker

Our Wales-based charity provides vital support to children and young people at risk of homelessness in Barry. We are seeking a Residential Childcare Worker to join our team.
This permanent full-time role offers a competitive salary, with £25,788 per annum if unqualified or £28,035 per annum if qualified to level 3.
The position involves working a shift rota that includes waking nights. As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will provide exceptional care and support to young people aged 14 plus within our home.
You will ensure high levels of emotional and physical care, providing appropriate activities and a comfortable, safe environment. Key working responsibilities involve using psychological/trauma-informed practice, supporting young people to build relationships and engage with external partners/services.
A driving licence is essential, as you will need to transport young people. A DBS check is also required.
