Childcare Support Worker

Company Overview: We are a leading provider of childcare services, dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for young people aged 14 plus.
Salary: £25,788 per annum (unqualified) or £28,035 per annum (qualified to level 3 - QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)) + £56.47 sleep-in rates.
Job Description: As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing excellent care and support to young people within our home. This includes ensuring high levels of emotional and physical care, organizing activities, and providing a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide young people with excellent care and support.
- Ensure high levels of emotional and physical care.
- Organize appropriate activities and provide a comfortable, safe and supportive environment.
- Support young people to build and manage relationships with their families and others.
- Key working responsibilities using Psychological / trauma informed practice.
- Provide a child centred, kind and empathic approach to support.
- Follow a robust safeguarding process and have experience of working within safeguarding frameworks.
- Understand the impact of trauma on children and young people.
- Effectively manage risk in a responsive but calm manner.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Requirements:
- A driving license is essential.
