About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to join our team at Aliaxis. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard and prepared for optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all extrusion tooling is properly maintained and prepared to meet production and customer requirements.
  • Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and improvement of all tooling dies, jigs, fixtures, and fittings.
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal processes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the tool stores team and support with training and mentoring as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong Health and Safety awareness and a commitment to role-modeling good behavior.
  • Prior experience in a tooling or toolmaking role, with a strong understanding of machine tools and tool room machines.
  • Minimum level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent, with at least 3 years' experience working in an engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and understand 2D tooling drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with machine tools, including turning, milling, drilling, and other operations.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers.
