Clinical Nurse Manager

The King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional nurse leader to assume responsibility for the Surgical Ward and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team. As a key member of the Care Group, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide expert, holistic care of a high standard to patients and their relatives, ensuring continuity of care through effective staff deployment and discharge planning.
- Lead and develop the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and supporting staff in their professional development.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care and experience, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
- Manage the ward budget effectively, maximizing resources and reducing waste in accordance with Trust and Care Group objectives.
- Investigate complaints and adverse incidents, taking appropriate action to address any issues and ensure compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and hygiene requirements, adhering to national and local policies and procedures.
- UK NMC Level 1 Registered Nurse
- Extensive experience at a band 6/7 level
- Experience with change management
- An understanding of clinical governance issues
- Awareness and understanding of current health issues, including the NHS Plan and recent initiatives
- Demonstrate clinical expertise relevant to the surgical specialty
- An understanding of HR processes and issues pertaining to staff management
- Previous experience in leading a change process
