We are seeking an experienced children and young people's nurse with a passion for paediatric obesity and endocrinology to cover the post of Paediatric Endocrine Specialist Practitioner on maternity leave.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care by providing clinical expertise and knowledge in the identification, assessment, treatment, and management of children and young people with childhood obesity and complications of excess weight.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Contribute to the supervision of practice, clinical audit, evidence-based practice, teaching, and supporting professional colleagues.
  • Involvement in research and Non-Medical Prescribing qualification (NMP) or working towards it is highly desirable.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and young people with Endocrine conditions.
  • Awareness of research principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Location and Salary

The successful candidate will be based at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9WL. The estimated salary for this role is £42,040 - £56,480 per annum, depending on experience.
