Job Title: Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics and Critical Care

We are seeking an experienced anaesthetist to join our anaesthetic department to provide a broad range of emergency and elective activity for a rural general hospital.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthetic, obstetric and critical care services.
  • Maintain high quality patient care with minimal risk, enhanced patient satisfaction and informed consent, following GMC guidelines.
  • Work with a talented team of people to provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based services to a large population.
Requirements:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCS (Full) or equivalent experience.
  • FRCA Primary or equivalent experience.
  • Full Registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council.
  • At least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in Anaesthetics or as a fixed term specialty trainee in Anaesthetics.
  • Minimum of 6 months obstetric anaesthesia experience.
  • Completed basic competencies in anaesthesia and analgesia and able to work with distant supervision.
  • Spinal and epidural anaesthesia experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in the NHS.
