About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forage Sales Specialist to join our team in Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist support and advice to ruminant livestock farmers on all aspects of forage, fertiliser planning, variety selection, and grain procurement within the designated region.

The role involves selling forage products including fertiliser, seed (cereal, forage, maize, cover crops etc.), silage additive, agrochemicals, and grain. You will also promote service offerings available including soil sampling and testing, Nutrient Management Planning, and advice for farm compliance purposes.

As a key member of our sales team, you will provide technical support to the wider sales team on forage products when required and develop and generate business for Wynnstay in collaboration with other key sales personnel.

You will market and promote Wynnstay to increase brand awareness, participate in marketing and product management campaigns, and produce weekly activity and sales reports.

The ideal candidate will have experience in combinable crop seed/forage, fertiliser, and ag chemicals (preferable but not essential) and possess sales skills and experience. They will be able to build good business relationships with professional farmers, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be self-motivated and able to use their own initiative.

The salary for this role is £35,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a profit-related annual bonus, employee discount at Wynnstay depots, 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, Employee Assistance Programme, Save As You Earn schemes, and a company vehicle.
