PL SQL Developer Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PL SQL Developer to join our team at Specialist Recruit Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality PL SQL code for our Electricity Market Settlement Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain core PL SQL based code for Electricity Market Settlement Systems.
  • Design and develop the Advanced Data Service (ADS) data collection system as part of the wider Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) system development.
  • Provide data analysis and technical support involving the Oracle backend for Operations data collection activities.
  • Write clear documentation to accompany developments, including specifications, technical manuals, user manuals, and task tracking systems.
  • Participate in regular training and learning activities to maintain and develop skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to all our policies, procedures, and working practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience applying design principles, best practices, and schema design to database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Supportive and helpful team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing, to a range of audiences.
