Senior Regulatory Affairs Director for European Markets

At GlaxoSmithKline, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Regulatory Affairs Director to lead our regulatory strategy, governance, and operations in the European Partnership Markets. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our team and drive the development and maintenance of standardized internal control frameworks, ensure compliance, and support commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies to underpin our Pharmaceutical business in the European Partnership Markets, supporting competitive license approvals, market access, product launch, and supply continuity
- Lead regulatory affairs activities completed in our operational matrix (Partnership Team, Global CD, and 3rd party Partner), for our product portfolio in the European Partnership Markets
- Oversight of third-party contracts, governance, and accountability, including audit programs and issue escalation
- Build, maintain, and lead an efficient and well-motivated team, ensuring appropriate prioritization and flexible resourcing, including driving and measuring performance
- Resource management, objective setting, review, development, and coaching of staff
- European Partnership Markets Regulatory representation on key projects and strategic initiatives
- Ensure the development and optimization of standardized, efficient, and compliant processes across the European Partnership Markets
- Leads regulatory risk management for the European Partnership markets, ensuring responsibilities relating to regulatory conformance are adhered to
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in Regulatory Affairs, with a considerable part in leadership positions
- Experience of leading effectively at senior levels and in a matrix across functions
- Local operating company experience required
