As an Occupational Health Specialist in our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our colleagues. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Working within key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to deliver high-quality occupational health activities.
  2. Implementing and maintaining the health surveillance/screening program for all colleagues, in line with risk assessment legislation.
  3. Supporting the compilation of occupational health statistical data, optimizing recording practices for effective activity monitoring.
  4. Fostering personal professional development and progression through clinical supervision.
  5. Ensuring the secure storage and confidentiality of medical records, adhering to the business's standards and the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) guidelines.

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and regular revalidation every three years.
  • Awareness or experience of occupational health in food manufacturing (desirable but not essential).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant data protection legislation.
  • A solid understanding of health promotion and workplace health and safety principles.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to drive health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Strong trustworthiness and discretion, with a flexible approach to work.
