About the Role
The company, a leading Approved Inspector of building control services, is seeking a specialist Class 2 Registered Building Inspector. This is an exciting time for the organization as they continue to grow and develop, and the successful candidate will play a significant role in contributing to the profitable long-term growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
The Registered Building Inspector will be responsible for upholding the group's quality (ISO9001) risk management and ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements. They will also ensure awareness and uphold best practices in respect of all risk management initiatives. This role involves undertaking restricted activities in accordance with the RBI Code of Conduct for assigned projects. The successful candidate will attend meetings, training sessions, and seminars as required. They will manage a portfolio of projects within a geographical area and optimize inspection visits to sites and plan checking requirements.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and technical guidance, including The Building Safety Act (2022). They will also have knowledge of fire safety and health and safety, as well as an understanding of the construction design process and RIBA Stages of work. A track record in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and experience with various types of buildings and projects is essential. The successful candidate will be able to effectively self-manage site inspections and reporting, and will have experience in a building control environment, including building and maintaining client relationships with design and construction teams.
