Exciting Opportunity for a Treasury/Trade Finance Advisor

A highly respected and successful business based in London is seeking an impressive Treasury/Trade Finance advisor to join their team.

Purpose of the Role:

As a key member of the Treasury team, you will partner with other European teams to provide primary Treasury support for business units in the region, covering Midstream and Downstream business units as well as International Upstream. Your goal will be to grow and protect value while ensuring appropriate cash levels for entities.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the business in Midstream (trading of crude, product, or gas) and Downstream (lubricants or chemicals operations) as the primary point of contact.
  • Provide high-quality value-added advice and solutions to ensure optimal cash levels for entities.
  • Negotiate financing terms and conditions to optimise exposure and reduce cost, supporting major commercial and financial transactions, including acquisitions, divestments, joint venture formation & management.
  • Fulfil functional priorities to Partner and Protect while doing so Better, Faster.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8 years of Finance or Treasury experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Treasury Knowledge: Working knowledge of trade finance and understanding of Supply Chain Financing advantages.
  • Critical/Analytic Thinking: Ability to synthesise diverse information in complex and ambiguous situations, distilling key risk and return considerations underpinning financing and business decisions.
  • Build Relationships: Strong self-starter who works collaboratively with businesses and teammates to drive outcomes that benefit the business through fostering positive relationships, strong teamwork, and inclusive collaboration.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to represent Treasury in its engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project assignments, leading Finance/Treasury work streams on cross-functional project teams.
