Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Inspection Specialist to join our team at People Solutions. As an MOT Tester, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle inspections to determine road worthiness, following Ministry of Transport and DVSA test guidelines.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to join our client based in Glasgow on a full-time permanent basis. You will work 40 hours per week across 5 days (not Sundays) and enjoy a competitive salary of £31,000 - £38,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out inspections to judge vehicle road worthiness
  • Fitting brakes and exhausts
  • Fitting new tyres
  • Replacing seatbelts
  • Checking vehicle oil levels and filters
  • Replacing cam belts and clutches
  • Cleaning vehicle inspection bays
  • Carrying out vehicle quality control checks
  • Recording vehicle emission test results
  • Scheduling annual MOT training sessions
  • Maintaining personal MOT training logs

Requirements:

  • A full Driving Licence with no more than nine points
  • A team player willing to assist in workshop carrying out light vehicle maintenance, when not performing MOT's
  • A Current MOT Testing Licence
