Job Overview

As a Health Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our multidisciplinary team in providing holistic care to patients with complex mental health needs.

About the Role

  • This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You will be responsible for supporting Registered Professionals in implementing individualized care plans and promoting service users' recovery through evidence-based interventions.
  • You will also assist in maintaining accurate records, reporting service users' health status, and effectively communicating with the multidisciplinary team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • You must have demonstrable knowledge and experience of working with people with mental health needs, preferably as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills, along with proficiency in using electronic information and computer technology, are also required.

Location

The role will be based at The Redwoods Centre, Somerby Drive, Shrewsbury SY3 8DS, with occasional travel to other sites within the trust. We provide inpatient facilities for older adults with mental health problems and require someone to work collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality care and support to patients.
