Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's team as a Service Charge Accountant. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of service-chargeable properties, ensuring that year-end reconciliations are completed in accordance with RICS regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of service chargeable properties, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  2. Year-End Reconciliations: Ensure that year-end reconciliations are completed in accordance with RICS regulations, including preparing annual service charge budgets and completing year-end closures.
  3. Invoice Collation and Analysis: Review and code invoices, monitor costs against budgets, and reconcile utility recharges.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge and experience: Of the Real Estate industry and Service Charge accounting.
  • Skillset: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as knowledge of property management systems such as TRAMPS/Bluebox, Qube, Horizon, Yardi etc.
  • Personal Qualities: Able to work on their own initiative, be adaptable with good organisational skills and be able to plan their workload and resolve problems efficiently.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
