Key Responsibilities
- Support the company's strategy to develop and grow our UV-curable business across Europe
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, addressing inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service
- Pro-actively search for new customers in the European market and identify potential growth areas
- Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, conducting market research and analysis to inform business decisions
- Assist with tracking sales performance, analysing key metrics, and preparing regular reports on sales activities and revenue forecasts
- Produce company presentations and assist in presenting to potential and current customers
- Assist with the production of technical presentations with the support of formulation and research teams
- Act as a brand ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, representing the company professionally, networking with key stakeholders, and promoting the company's products and services
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Visit customers, distributors, and suppliers as required
Essential Requirements
- Experience in B2B sales/technical sales/raw materials sales (3-5+ years), with strong business acumen
- Strong background in Chemistry (e.g., 1st/2:1 BSc/MSc from a reputable university) and technical proficiency in this area
- Understanding of UV-curable technology (e.g., Photoinitiators), some of the raw materials, and downstream industries (coatings, inks, paints, adhesives, etc.)
- Ability to conduct market analysis, marketing, and sales planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high interpersonal competence and negotiation abilities
- Ability to produce and help present client-ready presentations
- Highly proficient in English, and comfortable with technical terminology and documentation
- Highly proficient in working with technology (laptops, phones) and Microsoft software (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Proficiency with CRM and ERP software
- Willingness to travel around the UK and Europe to meet customers when required
- Willingness to travel to our head office on an infrequent basis
Desirable Requirements
- Direct experience in the UV-curing market or a background in coatings/inks/paints
- Masters/PhD in Chemistry
