Are you passionate about outdoor education and looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Climbing Coach Specialist to join our team at the Institute for Outdoor Learning.
About the RoleAs a Climbing Coach Specialist, you will work with children aged 4 – 18 to deliver engaging and safe climbing experiences. You will undergo comprehensive training to deliver these activities and be part of a supportive team that prioritizes youth development and well-being.
Responsibilities- Lead and instruct climbing activities for ages ranging from 4-18 years old
- Brief participants in matters of safety
- Set Up and Pack Down of Activities & Activity Areas
- Activity Maintenance and Safety Checks
- Provide high levels of customer service
- Comply with Health & Safety company culture
- Implement Safeguarding and well-being protocols
- Maintain guest accommodation prior to arrivals
- Maintenance of Centre
- Work and communicate within your team
- Ensure group's welfare onsite and liaise with visiting staff members
- Carry out mealtime and night duties
The salary for this position is estimated at £12.21 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to £25,000 per year based on a 40-hour workweek.
No qualifications are required; however, previous experience of working with children would be desirable. All applicants complete a comprehensive training programme and mentoring scheme before working on one of our centres.
Benefits- Zero hours contracts available between April-October 2025
