Are you passionate about outdoor education and looking for a challenging and rewarding role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Climbing Coach Specialist to join our team at the Institute for Outdoor Learning.

About the Role

As a Climbing Coach Specialist, you will work with children aged 4 – 18 to deliver engaging and safe climbing experiences. You will undergo comprehensive training to deliver these activities and be part of a supportive team that prioritizes youth development and well-being.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and instruct climbing activities for ages ranging from 4-18 years old
  2. Brief participants in matters of safety
  3. Set Up and Pack Down of Activities & Activity Areas
  4. Activity Maintenance and Safety Checks
  5. Provide high levels of customer service
  6. Comply with Health & Safety company culture
  7. Implement Safeguarding and well-being protocols
  8. Maintain guest accommodation prior to arrivals
  9. Maintenance of Centre
  10. Work and communicate within your team
  11. Ensure group's welfare onsite and liaise with visiting staff members
  12. Carry out mealtime and night duties

The salary for this position is estimated at £12.21 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to £25,000 per year based on a 40-hour workweek.

No qualifications are required; however, previous experience of working with children would be desirable. All applicants complete a comprehensive training programme and mentoring scheme before working on one of our centres.
