Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Part Time Cook to join our small friendly team at Priory Hospital Market Weighton.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and cooking meals, ensuring that meals are balanced, healthy, and meet dietary requirements and allergens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and cook meals for up to 20 individuals using a small commercial kitchen in an independent hospital.
  • Ensure that meals are balanced, healthy, and meet dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to Food Safety in Commercial Kitchen policies, storage, and refrigeration requirements, and cleaning equipment.
  • Be responsible for ordering and receiving deliveries for the kitchen, including maintaining stock levels and stock rotation.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibility.
  • Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Common sense approach to problem-solving.
  • Motivation and initiative.
  • Some appreciation of mental health.
  • NVQ or equivalent (chef/cooking).
  • Food Safety Qualification level 2 or above.
