Job Title: Specialist Study Skills Tutor

Beacon Support Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Study Skills Tutor to join our team. As a Specialist Study Skills Tutor, you will work with Higher Education students who require one-to-one support with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) in achieving their academic goals.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, focusing on study skills, strategies, and techniques to enhance their learning experience.
  • Collaborate with students, academic staff, and other support services to ensure a comprehensive support network.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and technologies to support students with ASC.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs and resources for staff and students.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with ASC in a Higher Education setting.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and related study skills strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
