We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Technical Engineering Support Specialist to join our team at Hernshead Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of the engineering department, you will play a vital role in delivering technical engineering support to both production and quality teams.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to deliver technical engineering support and lead internal facing engineering to deliver continued growth to the business. You will work closely with the operational team to support production on NPI projects and plan and design the manufacturing process to the shopfloor.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Supervisor, with expertise in all fields of Mechanical machining and all types of materials. A strong background in CNC machining, programming, and lean manufacturing principles is essential.

We are looking for someone who can drive continuous improvement programs, support the operational team in meeting customer demand, and manage the introduction of new manufacturing capability into the workshop.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical engineering support to both production and quality teams
  • Lead internal facing engineering to deliver continued growth to the business
  • Support production on NPI projects and plan and design the manufacturing process to the shopfloor
  • Drive continuous improvement programs within the department
  • Closely support the operational team in meeting customer demand
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 10 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or Supervisor
  • Expertise in all fields of Mechanical machining and all types of materials
  • A strong background in CNC machining, programming, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 Standards
  • Experience within Aerospace & Automotive
  • Experience of APQP/PFMEA

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave entitlement.
