We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Prison Education team as a Student Support Recruitment Worker.

">About the Opportunity

This exciting opportunity allows an individual to make a difference in the lives of adult learners within a prison setting. As a Student Support and Recruitment Worker, you will promote education to maximise student recruitment and support learning goals within the prison.

Key responsibilities include administrative processes, data entry, and maintenance of databases for the prisoner assessment process. You will also provide guidance to students when selecting courses and support the education allocation process by delivering initial assessments and screening assessments.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, resilient, and have a humanistic approach. They will also possess relevant qualifications and experience working in a learning environment.

">Job Summary
  • Promote education to maximise student recruitment and support learning goals within the prison.
  • Administrative processes, data entry, and maintenance of databases for the prisoner assessment process.
  • Provide guidance to students when selecting courses.
  • Support the education allocation process through initial assessments and screening assessments.

Essential Requirements

  • Good basic general education including GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  • NVQ2/NVQ3 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or PTLLS/DTLLS teaching qualifications.
  • TEFL, TESOL or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a learning environment.
  • Supporting students or assessing/training experience.
