Mechanical Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a leading client on a long-term contract basis.
The primary objective of this role is to support the Design Manager in delivering project scope, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver mechanical engineering activities in accordance with project scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
- Lead technical aspects of mechanical engineering work packages from identification to handover.
- Collaborate with the Principal Mechanical Engineer to deliver technical design packages.
- Ensure design documentation meets project requirements, adhering to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
- Plan for effective project implementation, ensuring seamless execution.
- Implement Quality Management Arrangements, adhering to Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
- Document processes and activities, maintaining records and applying configuration and quality controls.
- Communicate hazards and risks associated with work undertaken by the delegated engineering team, ensuring staff and contractors are aware of their responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of mechanical and nuclear process systems design.
- Understanding of industrial gas systems design.
- Experience with mechanical building services design.
- Awareness of seismic analysis for mechanical process equipment.
- Understanding of substantiation of process equipment for nuclear safety functions.
- Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice.
- Working knowledge of relevant engineering computer applications.
