Mechanical Engineer

Endeavour Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a leading client on a long-term contract basis.
The primary objective of this role is to support the Design Manager in delivering project scope effectively.
- Deliver mechanical engineering activities within the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
- Take ownership of technical aspects of mechanical engineering work packages from identification to handover.
- Assist in the technical delivery of one or more design packages as directed by the Principal Mechanical Engineer.
- Ensure design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
- Plan for effective project implementation and ensure compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual.
- Support the management of risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective communication and documentation of the Risk Assessment.
- Utilize knowledge of design of mechanical and nuclear process systems, industrial gas systems, and mechanical building services.
- Apply sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice relevant to the discipline, post, and project requirements.
- Work with relevant engineering computer applications.
