Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategy: Deputise for senior leadership and represent the company in key meetings, providing strategic guidance and direction to the team.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Forge strategic partnerships with developers, government bodies, and other stakeholders to maximise affordable housing delivery and drive business growth.
- Contract Management and Oversight: Ensure that third-party works meet quality and value-for-money standards, and provide operational oversight to technical teams to ensure industry best practices are followed.
- Project Development and Management: Plan and manage large-scale housing and mixed-use developments, aligning projects with company objectives and ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
- Housing Delivery and Specialist Needs: Identify new housing opportunities for specialist needs and develop creative solutions to meet these demands.
- Financial Modelling and Performance Monitoring: Manage financial models from project inception to planning, track and report project milestones and financial targets, and conduct risk assessments to recommend actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams, and prepare and present project reports and handle formal inquiries.
- Handover and Snagging Procedures: Ensure smooth project handover and manage snagging procedures to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Proven track record of project delivery and management
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and expertise in managing complex programmes and budgets
- Creative and experienced in planning and property development
- Political awareness and professionalism
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within a Local Authority or similar environment is highly desirable
