About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer in the UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development and Execution: Collaborate with our culinary team to design and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and nutrition.
  • Team Leadership and Training: Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation procedures, and provide guidance on menu preparation and presentation.
  • Inventory Management and Control: Oversee stock control and ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize waste, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the catering team to plan and execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives that showcase our culinary expertise.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, including scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining records of food costs and inventory.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to continuously enhance our menu offerings and dining experiences.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience working in a similar role within a contract catering company or educational institution is preferred. A culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute is also required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices, ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Personal Qualities: Fun and enthusiastic, excellent organization skills, ability to work as part of a team, flexible approach to work.
