Job Summary

ICDS (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and management of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of a large-scale data center project in Slough, UK.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement MEP Project Plans: Create detailed work plans and schedules for MEP activities, aligning them with the overall project timeline.
  2. Coordinate with Design Teams and Subcontractors: Work with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure MEP systems are designed and installed correctly.
  3. Review and Approve MEP Designs: Review MEP designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  4. Oversee MEP Installation: Oversee the installation of MEP systems on-site, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  5. Conduct Quality Checks: Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure high standards of workmanship and material quality.
  6. Manage MEP Subcontractors: Manage MEP subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they have the resources needed to complete their work effectively.
  7. Ensure Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all MEP installations meet the project's quality standards and are completed in line with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices.
  8. Implement Testing and Commissioning: Implement rigorous testing and commissioning procedures to verify the performance of MEP systems.
  9. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to MEP works and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  10. Safety Protocols: Ensure that all MEP activities adhere to safety protocols and minimize the risk of incidents on-site.
  11. Cost Management: Monitor MEP project costs and assist in managing the budget, ensuring that financial targets are met.
Requirements
  1. Education: A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP management on large-scale construction projects, data centre experience essential.
  3. Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
  4. Proven Track Record: Proven track record in managing MEP subcontractors and coordinating complex MEP installations.
  5. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in project management and MEP-specific software tools, such as MS Project, AutoCAD, or Revit.
