About the Role:

The Head of Mechanical Engineering will lead and develop the Mechanical Engineering team, responsible for mechanical design, product updates, and development activities associated with developing and manufacturing electronic/electrical test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Mechanical Engineering team and product change control team
  • Oversee mechanical design, product updates, and development activities
  • Implement the 3DX/PLM system and ensure remote teams align with UK teams' processes and tools
  • Ensure quality standards are met

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical and/or Production engineering
  • Knowledge of implementing Document management and change management systems
  • At least 10 years of experience in product design and development
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role
  • Results-focused with a business-led approach to achieve goals

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of BSEN 61010 or similar safety standards
  • Understanding of relevant aspects of electrical safety
  • Tooling/jig and fixture design experience
  • Familiarity with FEA, injection moulding simulation, Stress Analysis, and Flow Analysis tools
