We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Delivery Manager to drive service excellence and operational efficiency within our evolving team at Evri.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that our business meets the expectations of our clients and customers by delivering an exceptional customer experience through a team that drives the engagement of self-employed couriers.

The Regional Delivery Manager will be accountable for the performance of a team covering a designated region, driving the achievement of targets, and ensuring the cost efficiency of the courier network is maximized to maintain and further improve both the Company and third-party contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for regional performance targets and customer satisfaction through the guiding, coaching, and managing of a team of Community Delivery Managers.
  • Influencing the build of and responsible for the delivery and forecast of regional budget and controls, including courier fees, contractor spend, ad-hoc payments, team expenses, and over-rides.
  • Maximizing service coverage of courier deliveries and collections within the region through the successful and timely recruitment of couriers and their engagement, retention, and successful change management.
  • Accountable for the resource planning of couriers through pipeline review, advertising, and reviews with the Resource Planner to ensure round coverage is in place.
  • Through a team of Community Delivery Managers, drive courier performance to ensure the success of a seven-day operation.
  • Responsible for the delivery unit estate within their region, including the location, procurement, and management of delivery units and resourcing.
  • Management of service provision through service conversations with the delivery unit controller to ensure that Evri delivers a professional and sustainable Delivery Organization.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a strong, productive, and professional local union relationship with the GMB to ensure Evri maintains a positive relationship with the union and continues to be at the forefront of self-employed status recognition for our self-employed couriers.
  • Through setting and implementing best practice and adherence to the Code of Conduct and SOPs, ensuring that the work environment is safe for themselves and others.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with their peer in the depot, namely the Depot General Manager, and key stakeholders across the organization through effective communication skills.
  • Accountable for customer complaint escalation management and timely resolution to ensure customer satisfaction through liaison with the Customer Services Team and leadership of Community Delivery Managers.

Requirements:

  • Current UK Driving license
  • Level 3 Management Qualification or equivalent
  • IOSH Qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of coaching, supporting, and motivating colleagues
  • Problem-solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions
  • Experience of maintaining local union relationships
  • Previous experience of managing an agile team
  • Knowledge of self-employed courier model
  • Previous experience of setting and managing a budget
