Role Overview

We seek an exceptional Systems Engineer to join our team as our first dedicated SRE/DevOps hire. As a transformative engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our tech stack, defining best practices, and building scalable systems that drive future engineering growth.

You will have autonomy in:

  • Owning the reliability and scalability of our systems, laying a strong foundation for our engineering environment.
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Implementing monitoring and incident management systems to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across cross-functional teams, especially software engineering.
Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Collaborating with development teams to instil and grow a DevOps culture.
  • Documenting processes, systems, and configurations to ensure scalability and facilitate knowledge sharing.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or related role, with hands-on experience building and maintaining infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or DataDog.
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and tooling.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced startup environment.
