Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Temporary Works Design Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try Group. As a Temporary Works Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing temporary works solutions for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop temporary works solutions for construction projects, ensuring compliance with Business Management Systems (BMS) and CDM regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide design and design checking services for temporary works.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of temporary works.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in temporary works design and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Previous design experience in a related field, preferably in a contractor, subcontractor, specialist supplier, or consultant role.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided draughting and geotechnical/structural analysis software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
