North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare Trust is a forward-thinking organization committed to delivering high-quality care to our local community.
We are currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team, working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm at the Bradwell Hospital Site. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development, with a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,884 per annum, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, triage, and duty work as part of our Assessment Team. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to provide efficient and effective services to individuals in need. Your expertise will help us ensure consistency and quality in our triaging process, feeding smoothly into the assessment pathway.
In this role, you will also act as a Duty Professional on a rotational basis, providing support and interventions to service users not in crisis. This may include home visits, follow-up appointments, and liaison with other professionals to ensure high-quality care and support.
You will be part of a well-established and supportive team, including Psychiatrists, Community Mental Health Nurses, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurse Prescribers, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Nursing Assistants, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Students, Administration, and Primary Care Colleagues.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on secondary mental health services for our service users. Experience in completing assessments in a mental health setting is advantageous. If you are an experienced Band 5 Mental Health Professional looking to progress your career and learn new skills, this role is perfect for you.
As a Trust, we prioritize our team's wellbeing, offering flexible working opportunities and a range of wellness initiatives. We are committed to becoming a net-zero national health system by 2045, and we recognize the importance of a sustainable workforce in achieving this goal.
We strive to create a diverse and inclusive workplace, welcoming applications from under-represented groups, including women, people with disabilities, global majority backgrounds, and LGBTQ+ communities.
